Designed for a gardener and a dancer, this off-grid home is a study in resilience, self-sufficiency, and natural beauty. Set on a rural property and built using wood milled directly from the land, the home blends passive solar design with open, expressive interior spaces—supporting both ecological function and daily rhythm.
Operating entirely off-grid, the property features solar energy, rainwater harvesting, and composting systems, while the structure itself is oriented to make the most of natural light, ventilation, and thermal mass. Every element was chosen with intention—from local materials to energy-smart design.

The home is oriented to capture sunlight in winter and minimize heat gain in summer—while thick interior walls absorb and release heat as needed.
Powered by solar, with rainwater harvesting and composting integrated into daily use, this home functions independently and sustainably.
Douglas Fir harvested directly from the land, paired with other renewable and locally sourced materials, roots the home in its environment.
Interior spaces are designed for flow, natural light, and personal expression—supporting both productivity and rest.
