This stair landing is formed from hand-set flagstone, grounded by a border of natural boulders that anchor the space both visually and structurally. Designed as a moment of transition, the landing absorbs the movement of the stairs and releases it onto solid ground.

Each stone was selected and placed to balance irregular form with stable footing, creating a surface that feels organic while performing with purpose. The boulder edge serves as both a retaining and defining element, framing the landing, reinforcing stability, and locking the stonework into the surrounding landscape while adding texture and visual depth.
